Bianca began her research journey as the first Part II student in Ludmilla’s group, focusing on non-precious metal catalysts for the sustainable production of green hydrogen and value-added oxidation products from glycerol solutions. Her work involved synthesizing bismuth-doped and cobalt-doped SrTiO3 thin films, exploring their photocatalytic and electrocatalytic properties. Currently, she is pursuing a computational PhD under the supervision of Volker Deringer, co-supervised by Henry Snaith, with a continued emphasis on perovskite materials for renewable energy. She also collaborates with the Steier Lab on work on the emergent chalcogenide perovskites.
